Flexibility

  • Cover options for each vehicle:
    • Comprehensive
    • Third Party, Fire and Theft
    • Third Party Only
  • Vehicle types:
    • Goods carrying vehicles up to 44,000kg gross vehicle weight
    • Business cars for social, domestic and pleasure and business use
  • The ability to extend to include agricultural vehicles, special type vehicles and trailers
  • A courtesy vehicle whilst the vehicle is being repaired by an AXA approved repairer (for Private Cars and Goods Carrying Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, subject to availability).

Cover for electric vehicles

The key points are:

  • Definition of accessories to include charging cables, adapters and connectors
  • Cover for loss of or damage to EV chargers (wall mounted or posts). This extends to EV chargers at employee’s home if supplied with an EV by the insured
  • Third Party section extended to clarify cover for liability arising from use of vehicle when being charged

Through which platforms can I trade Minifleet?

Can I amend my client's renewal date?

eTrade policies are set to run for 12 months, and therefore the end term dates can't be amended.

Do you accept young drivers?

Yes, we can accept young drivers subject to certain criteria including fleet size, vehicle type, vehicle rating and age and experience of drivers.

Will my client’s car require a tracker?

The car will require a tracker if it has a grouping over 40 and is worth over £50,000. If a tracker is applied, full details of the endorsement will be found on the quotation documents.

Can you insure Director owned vehicles?

We can include vehicles owned by Directors. You will be able to enter the name of the Director when selecting the vehicle owner description.

Do you accept Hire & Reward?

Hire & Reward is not something we accept online.

What’s the maximum vehicle value you accept?

The maximum acceptable individual vehicle value on our Minifleet product is £100,000 for business cars, £150,000 for Goods Carrying Vehicles and £75,000 for agricultural and special type vehicles.

Do you accept new ventures?

We cannot offer cover for new ventures as we require a minimum level of confirmed claims experience to have been earned previously in the same name or legal entity as the proposer.
